This week, the Warehouse Receipt System Council (WRSC) joins the global community in commemorating International Anti-Corruption Day under the theme “Winning the Fight Against Corruption: A Sustainable Path to Africa’s Transformation.” This week underscores the critical role that transparency, accountability, and integrity play in fostering sustainable development and equity across all sectors.
As a body dedicated to enhancing agricultural value chains through secure and efficient storage systems, WRSC is deeply committed to ensuring corruption-free operations. By upholding principles of good governance and fostering ethical practices, we aim to build trust among stakeholders and promote economic empowerment for stakeholders within the Warehouse Receipt System ecosystem.
During this International Anti-Corruption week, WRSC calls on all stakeholders—farmers, traders, warehouse operators, and policymakers—to play their part in creating a corruption-free Kenya. Let us collectively uphold the values of integrity, accountability, and transparency in every transaction and decision we make.
“Corruption is a cancer: a cancer that eats away at a citizen’s faith in democracy, diminishes the instinct for innovation and creativity, and deters investments and jobs.” — Joe Biden
